About Us

IALU is an efective instrument to strengthen Lasallian Higher Education, promote the development of the universities in its network and encourage individual and collective response to the expectations and requests made to universities.

Our Story

Officially created in 1998, IALU now serves more than 60 institutions spread all over the world and is the bridge through which Lasallian institutions of Higher Education collaborate in order to contribute to a clearer articulation of the identity of the Lasallian University.

First stage, from 1978 to 1998:
Approach and mutual recognition.

Second stage, from 1998 to 2007:
Creation of the Association, first collaboration strategies that favor mutual knowledge.

Third stage, from 2007 to 2015:
Strengthening of the structure and creation of common programs.

Fourth stage, from 2015 to date:
Consolidation of the structure and organization of common projects.
